The Urban Academic Village on the Texas Southern University Campus is a privately managed apartment complex for students at TSU. The apartments consists of fourteen, 2-story buildings that accommodate over 300-residents in private, shared, and single units.

Horizon renovated the 10,000-SF apartment complex after providing the owner two value engineering ideas and proposed three different methods of construction. The apartments include engaging learning environments, computer labs, meeting areas, office spaces, built-in study areas, and a common-area living room. ​​
